Projects in Research Area "Social Inequality"
In this research area we examine different manifestations of social inequality and the ways in which objective and subjective dimensions of inequality are shaped by public policies, organisations, individual experiences, and behaviours. We investigate how different life stages, such as parenthood or retirement, might reinforce or amplify inequality across social class, gender, household forms, or migration backgrounds. We analyze how different social contexts and individual attributes, such as religiosity and physical and mental health, facilitate intergroup contact, integration, and social cohesion.
