Eurobarometer Trends: An Integrated Datafile Containing International-comparative Survey Data Covering Three Decades (1970-2000)

Research question/goal:

It is the purpose of this project to facilitate secondary analyses of Eurobarometer trend questions. Trend variables are those which have been asked three times or more often over the past three decades of Eurobarometer surveys. These variables are harmonised in the sense that their coding is identical at any time point (exceptions confirming this rule are documented). Based upon the ZEUS data bases (which draw upon ICPSR-edited datasets or the early Eurobarometers) and updated by more recent Eurobarometers provided by the Zentralarchiv in Cologne, an integrated data file containing some 100 trends was constructed and documented. This file can be downloaded from the project homepage (LINKS).
