Marie Curie Eingangs-Training Netzwerk in Wahlen und Demokratie (ELECDEM)

Forschungsfrage/Ziel:

Das ITN ELECDEM versammelt 11 Expertengruppen aus 9 europäischen Ländern, um einer Kohorte junger und erfahrener Wissenschaftler in die Inhalte und Methoden der Wahlforschung einzuführen. Die jungen Wissenschaftler werden in eine Forschungsgruppe aufgenommen, in der weltweit führende Experten der international-vergleichenden Wahlforschung und die Industrie-Partner TNS Opinion und Kieskompas Forschungs- und Trainingsmöglichkeiten eröffnen. Die Forschungsprojekte basieren auf international-vergleichenden Wahlstudien wie die Europawahlstudien und die CSES.

Aktueller Stand:

Zwei Doktoranden – Federico Vegetti und Constanza Sanhueza Petrarca – waren die Mannheimer Teilnehmer an dem Marie Curie Initial Training Network ELECDEM. Im laufenden Jahr hat Federico seine Dissertation und die Verteidigung derselben mit der Gesamtnote „summa cum laude“ abgeschlossen. Constanza hat einen Teil des Jahres am WZB in Berlin als Gastforscherin verbracht und will ihre Dissertation in den nächsten Wochen abschließen.
