Forschungsfrage/Ziel:
Das Projekt zielt auf eine systematisch historisch-vergleichende Struktur- und Entwicklungsanalyse der Familienpolitik in Europa und Nordamerika. Seine Resultate sollen in einer Reihe von fünf Bänden mit insgesamt 18 Länderstudien und zwei komparativen Bänden ihren Niederschlag finden. Darüber hinaus wird eine Datenbank zur Familienpolitik in Europa aufgebaut, die nach Abschluß des Projekts der Wissenschaft zugänglich gemacht werden soll. Die Datenbank wird eine wichtige Quelle für komparative Analysen und die Entwicklung von Indikatoren zur Familienpolitik sein.
